Water Tower Updates & Possible Rusty Water

Repairs are being completed on the City of Kewanee’s south water tower, and the system will be brought back online Tuesday 6/7/22.  During this time while the system is adjusting to regular usage, residents citywide may experience rusty water or low pressure.  Residents are reminded not to run hot water to flush systems, as it could bring rust into the water heater.  As more residents use water, the system will clear.  No boil orders have been issued as a result of this process.
