Welcome to the City of Kewanee, Illinois and the Kewanee Police Department. The Kewanee Police Department and its staff are dedicated to providing the finest in law enforcement services to our community. To meet that challenge, the Kewanee Police Department has evolved simultaneous to the technologies in our field. The Department has added enhanced 911, computer-aided dispatching, records management, electronic accident reporting, electronic training stations, digital video recording, electronic fingerprint capturing, and mobile data computer terminals in the patrol fleet; all in an effort to better serve our community.
Despite the improvements in technology, the Department continues to train and mentor its staff in the areas of customer service and emergency response. The bottom line is that our officers and staff must be able to communicate in a professional, forthright and courteous manner. By doing so, our department will cultivate a trusting, professional relationship with those that we serve.
As a lifelong resident of the City, it is with a vested interest that I, as well as our department’s staff, continue to work toward making our city the safest and most prosperous city it can be.
