Fire Department - Overview
It is with great pride and honor that we serve the citizens of Kewanee. Since its formation in 1906, the members of this department have strived to protect the assets of our city and the lives of our citizens and visitors. We have dedicated ourselves to obtain the necessary knowledge and skills required for this protection in the most economical and efficient manner possible.
As our world changes, the Kewanee fire department will also change and adapt to become proficient in those necessary skills needed not only for fire suppression, but also in emergency medical services, hazardous materials response and in technical rescue.
It is our mission and my hope, that all who come into contact with our services find that they are treated with the utmost professionalism and respect as well as receive the most complete care and customer service that we, the members of the Kewanee fire department can offer.
